Stella Modern Wooden House

Stella House is a single-family home for a photographer located in Cushing, ME. Designed according to the Passive House principle, this villa features highly insulated walls and roof assemblies, triple-glazed windows and highly efficient mechanical equipment that reduces energy consumption by more than 80% compared to the minimum local code requirement.

The gross use of wood in the building is highlighted and is reflected in the interior as well as the exterior coverings. Aiming for a natural and simple design with panels, DEMO Architecture also strengthened the building in terms of energy efficiency.

When you first enter the house created with breathing structure synthesis, you can smell the natural wood. High insulation against cold is provided in the structure, where constant fresh air circulation is created. There are wooden beams, windows and other reinforcement elements that follow you throughout the structure. All of these once again reveal the modernity and beauty of wood.

It will take you to your silence with its minimal stove stance that warms the space. It was prepared with a vibrant and rich selection of colors and patterns. In addition, the kitchen is supported with tones that will balance the entire structure.
